Why Taekwon-Do?

Learn true Taekwon-Do as created and taught by the founder of Taekwon-Do General Choi Hong Hi 9th Degree GrandMaster. Taekwon-Do translated literally means:

Tae: Jumping or flying, to kick or smash with the foot
Kwon: Means fist, chiefly to punch or destroy with the hand or fist
Do: Means the Art, way or philosophy

Taekwon-Do is composed of fundamental movements, 24 patterns, self maintenance, sparring and self defense techniques. It is a powerful martial art that will keep you fit and strong and will teach you effective methods of self defense. But more than that, it encourages us to be better people through the tenets:

Courtesy:                   To be polite
Integrity:                    Honesty
Perseverance:          To keep going even when it gets hard
Self Control:             To control yourself physically and mentally
Indomitable Spirit:  To do something because you know it is the right thing to do, even though it is not easy

Regular training will improve fitness, flexibility, coordination, self confidence and self defense. Taekwon-Do is suitable for all ages 5 to 40+.
